a. The Trust has been functioning since the year 2000.
b. A little more than 350 school-going students were given educational assistance every year by way of uniforms, books and other stationeries.
c. A blind boy was assisted in getting his education.
d. Since the educational year 2006-07, the Trust has been helping children to the tune of about Rs. 300,000 every year. This amount is distributed for three consecutive years and the Trust managing committee wants to exceed this target by Rs. 50,000/- this new educational year 2009-10
e. Trust got four bicycles to aid the poor teen-aged girls in a village near Pune at the cost of Rs. 7000/-. Eight girls are pedaling these cycles to get the high school education in a school that is several kilometers away from their home. Their parents would not have sent them to school but for the cycles.
f. Trust identified one retired tasildar in a remote village near Thanjavur district selflessly serving the poor and downtrodden community by settling there and teaching about 30 students in their school education and discipline. He is raising them as good citizens instead of being influenced by the environment. SET is aiding him to maintain the basic establishments to run his evening school that keeps the most unfortunate children without any diversion.
g. The Trust had to stop help for three children since they did not get promoted to the next class.
h. The Trust financed one boy belonging to a very poor family to become a secondary school teacher. The entire educational expenses including his hostel fees were borne by the Trust. He passed out and got employed too.
i. The trust financed two girls for their nursing course and they passed out of their institute and got employed.
j. A physically handicapped girl with no parents support was helped to pursue her education right from secondary education till she reached the post graduate course.
k. The Trust adopted 3 orphans from an orphanage near Kumbakonam besides bearing the educational expenses of six children in Amar Seva, Ayakudi. This is in line with suggestion from some donors.
l. In addition, the Trust helped one girl and three boys by way of sharing her expenses towards her tuition fees in engineering college and the same with another boy.
